I was thrilled to receive this beautiful thank you note from someone who attended one of our 75th Anniversary experiences here this summer. I thought it would be fun for you to hear the outside perspective of the happenings at camp. The traditions at COP still run deep! – Kristi Youngdahl, Director of Cathedral of the Pines Camp
Hello Kristy, Gail, Kris, and Mady, and the rest of the COP Team,
We hope this message finds you all well and rested. On behalf of myself, my mother (Judy Sandberg) and my sister (Molly Sandberg), We want to extend our deepest gratitude for inviting us to join in celebrating Cathedral of the Pines Camp 75th anniversary. It was truly an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, nostalgia, and new memories.
The tour of the campgrounds was both enlightening and inspiring. We really enjoyed seeing the old, the new and the secret building we did not know even existed, “HOLIDAY House.”
The care and dedication that has gone into maintaining and evolving the camp over the decades was incredibly impressive.
The service overlooking the lake was a particularly touching moment for all of us and brought back many memories. The song lyrics came right back to us. It provided a serene and beautiful setting to reflect on the camp’s rich history and the community it has fostered over the years.
The dinner was not only delicious but also provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow camp enthusiasts and hear their stories. Please extend our thank you to the kitchen staff (Maddie) as well. It was amazing to see all the campers and counselors in the Dining Hall. We loved seeing that many of the traditions are still going strong.
Lastly, the COP bags were a delightful surprise! The memorabilia will serve as cherished reminders of our visit.
Once again, thank you for allowing us to be a part of this special celebration. Please convey our appreciation to everyone who contributed to making our visit so enjoyable and memorable. We look forward to the possibility of visiting again in the future next time we are up North.
Warm regards,
Stacey Wickman, Judy Sandberg, and Molly Sandberg
