Counselors

Mount Olivet members who are entering their junior or senior years of high school, or just graduated are our volunteer counselors! This is the most important role at Cathedral of the Pines Camp. Each counselor is assigned to a group of campers to guide, direct, and love up for the week! We could not operate without the commitment of all these great volunteer students! Each cabin will have two counselors and six campers. At Cathedral of the Pines Camp our counselors encourage campers to develop lifelong friendships, deepen their faith, ask questions, learn life lessons, be themselves, and have fun in a beautiful setting. 

To be eligible to counsel…

• You must attend two Hi-Leagues in the fall and two Hi-Leagues in the spring.
  • Fall 2025 Hi-Leagues
    • Sharegroups: Sunday, October 26, 7-8:30pm, Mpls Campus
    • Sharegroups: Sunday, November 9, 7-8:30pm, Mpls Campus
    • Sharegroups: Sunday, November 23, 7-8:30pm, Mpls Campus
    • Thanksgiving Eve Worship: Wednesday, November 26, 6-7pm, Mpls & West Campus
    • Sharegroups Christmas Service: Sunday, December 21, 7-8:30pm, Mpls Campus
• You must have a 10-minute zoom with Kristi. These zooms will take place over the next 8 months. There are many of you interested in workstaffing so this will take some time, do not panic if the slots fill up quickly. Periodically we will send out a sign-up genius so you can register for a zoom.
• You must attend in-person training at Mount Olivet. These will be for one hour and will take place in the spring, with dates to come.
• You must attend the COP Camp Training and Celebration on April 26, 2026.
